Sealed or Ported..

Box is shaped like a gigantic truck box (slanted) it is in a 2000 pontiac firebird, im running a 15" l7 kicker, and Im wondering if i need to port it or seal it?

It's about 3.5 cubic feet

I have it currently sealed - I've been told ported sounds nice and is extremely loud. If so we're do the port's go? Best design? anything?

I will pay someone 50$'s if they can lend me a hand (paypal).

how big should I make the port? how many? what type?

front of the box is 8 inches (top to bottom) back of the box measures 14 inches (back wall measuring from the highest point in the back) its 38 inches wide (from left to right), and 14 and a half inches long (sideways from forward to back)

u could/should use 4 inch ports(pvc pipe) i would say use 2-4 of them.(more port area is a good thing) put'm on the back of the box thats faces the rear of ur hatch(by ur liscense plate) i'll get back 2 you on the lenght of each the ports. hope this helps!!!!!!! :~>

two 4" ports that are 13.5" long will get you tuned to 35hz. if your using 4" port then you need to keep the end of the port (inside the box) at least 4" away from the opposite side. in short you will need 17.5" to install the port. by the looks of your pic you have the room for them to face the rear. but by the measurements you stated i'm not too sure. if you have them towards the top you'll have the length since it's a wedge box.

yeah...you should have plenty of room to put them like i said. if you went with 2 4" percision ports....it would be better than just pvc.
