sealed or ported in a honda civic trunk???

Im here askin for answers. Everybody ive ran into keep telling mew to take the ported box out and go sealed and it would b just as loud with more pressure. Is this true?

prefab ported? A properly built ported box will always be louder then sealed.

id def stay with ported especially with L7s they dont really like to be sealed up. average 3 dB gain ported over sealed tell these fools u run into they are car audio tards.

Agreed. But an L7 in an adequately sized sealed box can sound good, IMO. Won't have the output of a proper ported box.

you should get dimensions of your box and post them and they we can let you know if the box is "properly tuned."

alright. its 36w x 13t x 24d. It has an 6 inch port that goes back 17.25 with a 15 in port inside the box. the port makes an L. Its suppose to tuned to 33 but my bass is still not deep enuuf. Im bottoming out. I cut the port in half with a piece of wood. It helped but not enough tho. Should I tune lower???

Nah, its just a question. Im at 33 and dnt like it, i dnt want to go any higher. lol
