screws coming out of box

I would highly recommend to anyone...use anchors in your boxes for the mounting points (with machined screws/hex heads to mount them). They arent expensive...and a lot of people say they back out, but if you cover them in JB Weld before hammering them in, they wont budge. I would go this path, you wont be dissapointed..

But it sounds like there's something wrong if they're coming out..?

Me neither.

Are you using MDF?

never ever had a problem with mdf

What kind of screws are you using?

perhaps try larger diameter ones - like switch from drywall to wood screws

Are you reusing old holes?

offset subs a little and try again with a new hole.

1. yes mdf

2. wood screws 2 inch

3. not reusing old holes

He obviously stripped them out… now they got no bite left to them. Wood screws arent the best for mdf, coarse straight shanked or even coarse drywall screws are better IMHO. Also, predrilling some pilot holes helps. And as previously mentioned for the driver mounting try some t-nuts or threaded wood inserts
