SCION XD - DC XL 15s

I don't plan on putting the rear seats back in. I have a family car with plenty of seats. I just need the one passenger seat to demo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I actually just ran the wires under the car this time along with the other brick of wires under the car. Didn't drill a hole, just removed the cap to the spare tire hole in the hatch area ( where the spare screws in) and ran my wires there. was enough for 3 0 gauge wires. Used a racket ball as a grommet. Worked perfectly. Alot of people say I shouldnt run wires under the car, but I really cant see a reason why not. All the wires are secure.
If they are exposed, I use cheap plastic wire loom. Just a little reassurance. But sounds workable. And should be an impressive result. Gotta love little cars for shock n' awe.

I still need to build a amp/ battery rack for my component amp and my rear batteries. I have everything hooked up to test the audio.

Here are some pics of my Sub amp mounting and my rear floor carpeted.

Oh, then you would be fine. I couldn't tell if that box would fit behind the rear seats or not.

Like mine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Pics of my batteries and wires before amp rack (I should say table) and wire management.

Basically I plan on making a carpeted box table that will stretch the length of area I have to work with holes on the surface so I can run wire through and hide the brunt of them within the box table. the batteries will be recessed into the table. I might invert the subs just to see how it sounds for fun and I really like how the subs look. very shiny. I have always been curious as to how it sounds though. Anyway, I was curious to see if all my stuff worked.

It was late and dark outside, so the pictures arent the greatest plus my car is dirty atm. will get some better pics tomorrow.

BTW, I was a bit skeptical as to the performance of the AP30001D before I received it, but **** the amp is beast. I currently have the amp running 2 ohm bridged. Plan on going 1 ohm when I build my rack and run better speaker wire.

zip ties are definately your friend.

and as far as the ap 3000. get another one, your subs will love you.

Used about 16 zip ties and and some thick coated garbage ties every time I used a zip tie. zip ties get brittle and brake especially in AZ's dry weather. The garbage ties don't. A little bit of reassurance.

I went over kill with my electrical so I could add a second AP30001D. Didn't want to run wires again... EVER. I'll let my subs break in on the one AP for a few weeks and let my bank account take a breather. Will probably extend the box stopper board I have my current AP on and mount it above. Going to invert my subs tomorrow since I'm going to change out the 10 gauge speaker wire for some 8 gauge power wire (Not Knu). It's undersized power wire and should do the trick. Knu 8 gauge was too large for the push terminals on the subs.

I just want to hear the subs inverted, I don't think I'm willing to give up my rear view though, even if I like it inverted.

Pictures below are of my left overs- I wasn't very efficient in ordering wires and parts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Nice build, small car for that much beat but hey, like stated before, nothing like a small car for shock and awe.

btw, since they are leftovers and you don't care about them, I can pm u an address that will take care of your trash in an environmentally friendly way, specifically 0ga, fuseholders/fuses, and dynamat

im building a similar car. scion xa. level 5 18 and 3k. waiting for some numbers to see how loud these cars get. let me know when ya meter this thing. would like to see some 150s outta these things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
