For one thing, Puerto Rican is not a race, so where is the racism? Also, I can't point out the fact that Mexicans and Latinos are largely Christian(and Catholic)? No racism, just stating a very educated guess based on fact.

i am puerto rican, BUT, my parents had NO influence on my beliefs. in all seriousness... you guys are retarded for a science vs. the bible topic... science is in no way trying to disprove religion or the bible.. the bible was rewritten by humans which make mistakes and get things wrong.. they should not be put against each other but used to in a synergistic fashion to better understand us and our reality ( earth, planets, solar system, everything) so stop trying to find the arguements and spend more time understanding what we as human know as true in science and use your understanding of the way our world works to better understand our creator

The Bible is full of stories that claim to describe reality as it is. Science is out to discover reality as it is. This is why the two are frequently seen in conflict. Obviously they don't have to be; people who recognize the absurdity of biblical literalism like to dicker around with the biblical stories so that they will stop clashing with scientific revelations. The problem is that people start with that faulty assumption that the bible is special; that its some sort of unique book worthy of more deference than any other book in human history.

There's some good stuff in the bible, but its outnumbered by a plethora of divisive nonsense. Nonsense that is the reason people think homosexuality or contraception is a great evil.

bible = the truth the light and the way

Your statement of describing reality as it is, is true. But you want to believe in one persons description of "reality" every persons view would be described differently which would influence or skew our own view of reality. plus if you want to believe in the Quaran, Book of the Dead, then your theory would also be saying what aristotle, sacrotese, and others wrote... which described "reality" their reality was the earth was flat and the sun revovled around us, but science proved both wrong. your theory sir is flawe.. the bible is not special, the quaran is not special, the book of the dead is not special. they are special in proof of human stupidity.. We have conflict of science vs religion because the religous are too blinded by there faith in their book that describes reality of thousands of years ago to really see the that reality changes...
