But none of us now was around when Jesus was here or even when columbus was here. So if you go that route you cant beleive anything. So instead of argueing about these thing, people are people and will believe what they want. Its just the promises in the bible, specifically John that makes me believe. But once again thats my choice and someone that doesnt want to believe it, wont, so be it.

Thats not very good logic there. There are countless records from many socities showing that Jesus did exist, but whether or not he is the son of God is up to debate.

Si. What's incredibly interesting is the fact that there were a TON of supposed messiahs, all with the same "signs" like a virgin mother, being resurrected etc. What's even more interesting is these signs are actually a world wise thing, and that people pretty much stole these ideas from everyone else. Now why Christianity stuck, no one is 100% sure of it

Jesus also has a very different life, depending on which story/religion you're referencing.

Very good point. Judaism and Islam do not believe in multipule forum of God like Christains do. (i.e. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost). Its strange how Christianity and Islam are dirived form Judaism but yet non of the three are on the same page so to speak.

...good luck finding it...LOL

the Bible is the best story ever written...the combined imagination of several

different people and put together in the same binder....it was a very usefull tool

for population control back in the cave man days

Whether Jesus truly existed can even be deabted. Hell, I read a Christian book that stated there isn't any hard proof that Jesus existed. In fact, not one of the historians of that time period mentioned Jesus at all, christ was mentioned by ONE historian of the time, however christ is a title and not a name.

Hehe me too. Dude lived during the same time as Jesus (Believe that Appolonius was born a few years before Jesus) but yet he was recorded with almopst the same life as Jesus.

IIRC there is nothing written about Jesus by people who were actually alive when Jesus was(or old enough to write/know what Jesus was all about). All of the gospels are from guys who lived after Jesus, and written at least a few decades after Jesus' supposed crucifixion.

Here is another good point.

Ok so Adam and Eve were the first two humans that God crated and placed on this earth. They had Cain, Abel, Seth and many other children (Genesis 5: 3-5 says that Adam lived for 930 years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif) So that means that in order to populate the earth that insest had occured but in the Bible it says that you are not to sleep with your brother or sisters, aunts, unkles and so on. So WTF?

Jesus could have been a crazy person for all anyone knows. In todays times we have conspiracy theorists, and other types of crazys. They probably had them back then too. And there's always some who believe the crazys, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. Today we treat it with medicine and rubber rooms. Back then they did things a little different like burning, stoning, whipping, crucifying, etc...

Not saying that this is what I believe, but it is possible.
