Saying bye to DD.

Have you heard tge es01?You do realize that tge cdt es04 was the best midrange ever tested over at diyaudio? The es 6 is compared to seas exotics with the cdt coming in a close run to them and the hat stage 6..
Actually did, not impressed nothing stood out. Could be the install overall but the guy is pretty known to be knowledgeable and reputable. Cant name drop without offending him.

Actually the one that tested best from all the blind test I've seen was the Scan 10f.

I won't use CDT. I've never heard a set I liked. It's not in the same league. They do make some nice factory replacements.

Rainbow is to hard to get authorized here. If I'm spending $500 on a set of mids I'm making sure they are the real deal.

yea 500 is steep.. best thing to do is go listen. I've heard plenty of setups and CDT always did very well for the money. they have about 3 people i know that don't like the CDTs you and jim are two.

anyways good luck. Id look into the HAT stuff.

im not talking about a blind test. im talking about klipple distortion test..

which one have you heard? the older ones where too laid back the new one has much more topend.
It was a few years ago so probably an older model, i guess the person im talking about already expressed his dislike for cdt lmao. I have not heard any good cdt setups ever. If it takes that much work and processing from the start just to barely keep up with equipment costing 1/4 to 1/8 its cost, its not worth it. My massive german silk ct 2 tweets completely **** on es 02s in the clarity, top end sparkle and detail with slight attenuations. They play deeper as well as being waaaaaaaaaaaay louder when need to be. Like can keep up with 150s while the es 02 struggled with 140db

i've always respected you opinion but i must say that i think something was VERY wrong. i mean i've hear plenty of setup over the years from alpine type Xs to focal utopias and i think the CDT drivers are great bargains..

coming from somene who has a friend that works at a hifi place and gets to hear high-end electrostatics for the 400 dollars for a active set they aren't bad at all..

I never run ISACA so HAT won't do me any good lol.

I've been looking for months and it seems nothing under $500 can match the ESOTECs.

I won't get a chance to hear them so I'm solely going off opinions of trusted sources that have my same goal.
