Been a while since I have been cruising around the car audio forums.

So is the SA 8 sub still the baddest sub out there in that price range for an 8 incher?

How big of an enclosure do these things like? And what do they like to be tuned too?

What the mft recommends is a starting point..

What type of music will you be listening to? What type of sound do you like? What vehicle is it going in? How much power will you be giving it?

Last time I checked I believe these thing are rated around 400 to 450 rms. I have a MTX JH 600 thats rated at 650 watts rms @ 2 ohms, and around 350 @ 4 ohms. What would you guys recommend running the SA 8 at for this amp?

Was thinking going with a 4ohm load, not really looking to push numbers with this thing. Just want some good sound quality.

It'll do fine off 650w as well, just make sure your gains are set properly.

I think that 650 will be great for it provided gains correct and nice box.

i ran 1600rms to one and it would take it full tilt for bout 1 min before getting warm and had to back off. i dont recomend more than 600rms per to the average person because most peeople dont know when to back off....
