S10 cheap SG system

Ya it is for the tweeter that WAS in the speaker grill. Now to put it in the door or the dash. I havent decided.
Id put it down low in the door if you can. Dash will create reflections off of the windshield. It will raise the soundstage, but it will be harder to tune IMO. Some people prefer it though.

SG build. I like that.

If your door is sealed, try opening the back of the pod. If the speaker is in too small of an enclosure, it wont sound right. Its like putting a sub in a box thats way too small.

But anyway, my dog is named Daisy too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Well Im not sure what I want to do with the door panel. I can blend the pod into the panel (which isn't much, the picture makes it look worse). Or I thought about turning the complete bottom panel into a glassed pod. Ideas? What do y'all think would be a good idea? IMO the panel would flex and vibrate if the speaker were attached to it. That's why I built a pod to bolt to the door and have the panel fit over it.

Updated on first page but here is what equipment I'm running.

HU: Pioneer DEH-P6700MP (was in truck when I got it)

Front stage: MB Quart 6-1/2" Formula comps

Front amps: (2) Hafler MSE44tm

Xover: Coustic XM-3

Subs: (2) ID8D2V3

Sub amp: PPI PCX1250

Sound deadening: Damplifier, eDead, LuxuryMat Pro, experimental hardware store foam

OK, after a month out in North Carolina I am back home and getting busy as I can. Bought a new Kenwood KDC-BT945U HU which I like and started door build pt deux while winter hell is going on and I couldnt make it to work. Also, received my ID 8's from whitedragon a few weeks back and they look great.
