run stock alternator AND HO alt?

just wondering if this is ok to do. i was thinking since my stock alternator is obviously enough power for my cars electrical needs would it be possible to buy a dual alternator bracket and install it. then install my old alternator and the new HO alternator on the dual alternator bracket, hook up both in parellel to my battery (or maybe run a second battery in the back with the alternator just charging that one) and run it that way using a new belt of course as well?

im just thinking of ways to do a poor mans dual alternator setup so that the HO alternators power would be putting all of its potential into the system instead of being leeched off with the cars actual electrical needs.

any idea or advice? thanks guys

sounds feasible(sp)
yea im assuming it would be since of course the dual alternator bracket would be designed to fit the same exact bolt pattern (at least on my ford it would). im just kinda putting it out there in hopes of finding someone who has done it, or someone who advises otherwise. i mean its not like your loosing any more money than you would just upgrading to an HO alt (save the bracket and the new belt)

i believe i their is some room to do a dual alt as well. have to make sure. but either way not gonna do it anytime soon, just brainstorming for future reference.
