Run 2 channel for subs

How many people use a 2 channel for subs? Even though they get hot and are not that efficient. How many use 2 channels for subs and haven't had any problems at all? This is not an sq debate just a question that I want to ask forum members.

I am running a 25 to Life Punch 150 on my single dd1010 in my Civic. Prior to that, I was running a Punch P5002. Both 2 channel! Oddly, since I have the 25 to Life Punch 150 down tuned to deliver between 500 and 600 watts RMS @ 4 ohms, it barely warms up after beating on it for hours!

My girlfriend's vehicle is about to get an Orion 280 GX bridged to her pair of M Class 12s @ 4 ohms. My Mustang will eventually get a Linear Power 5002 bridged to my 13w6v2 @ 8 ohms. As for my Civic, I plan to run two Lunar L1500s strapped to a pair of Digital Designs 1508s @ 2 ohms.
