They will hold their own the the idmax in sq. anydayI hope you didn't buy those RSD's thinking that they will perform like a an idMAX:furious: but, any ways that size of box should be fine for them, so check for any air leaks around the box.

Also, the fact that PG stated that SQ was the main goal when they developed these subs and that a lot of listening went into getting the final product.By Eric Holdaway said:With the RSd12, I heard notes and details that I haven't heard since I tested the JL Audio 12W6 and the Stroker Pro 15". At low, medium and at high volumes, the RSd12 was unstressed and sounded wonderful.
have you heard one?Hooray for the RsD police..... Please do not ever compare the legendary Idmax to an rsdeez nutz...Well the guys rsd's will probably not sound good because he did not get it installed by a "profressional" shop //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif any body? and of cousre bigger the box the better for the most. Pg recommends:sealed box volume: 0.78-1.20 cu. ft.78 is not that big is it?
It sounds to me that you have a box problem, or even possibly need to check your settings on your amp. No reason it should be sounding muddy at all. btw where at in Tennessee are you located?Well i got the polyfill in and it helped a ton but it only sounds good on drums. It sounds pretty muddy on bass guitar and like crap on hiphop/techno. I haven't heard many setups but my friend's ported type-E's on 400w sound a whole lot better and hit a lot harder. With the volume set very high his type-e do not distort period. With the volume on mine set at a moderate level(to me) they are either distorting or just sounding bad(maybe one in the same) on anything but a nice singular drum beat. Any ideas? again plenty of power, 1.8cf, polyfill, no leaks that i can tell. I haven't had time for bracing but i am sure its not flexing so much that it would make much difference. I would think they could match type-e ported in SQ at least. I wasn't aware that type-e was anything special.
