RL-P vs. XXX My review

How anyone expected the RL-P to keep up with a XXX is beyond me. There's a 200 dollar price tag difference for a good reason.
Its beyond me too. No kidding...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

The XXX maybe a better sub but both reviews between the two were done by personal opinion. And I think a lot of people are just tired of this guy with the 400 post on the same subject (just being honest). But he is a young guy so that is to be expected, no offense.

here's my input and say what u will...

when i did my review, i did both sealed and ported....i did three power levels, 750, 1200, 2500. hell i even bought an amp because so many people were *****ing that i didn/t give the xxx enough power.

i also stated that i didn't mic the setups and i thought the xxx was the louder of the pair.

however, the rl-p did keep up. to a point. the xxx will indeed handle more power and 1200wrms is the limit of what i would put on a rl-p.

basiclly, u guys need to reread my review and not just skim thru it. in the end i said that i believed that the rl-p was better suited for lower power, smaller enclosers and smaller budget applications. i also said the xxx was the complete opposite, that if u had the money, power and room, get the xxx. oh, and even in re's own forum at SIN, there is mention of how it (xxx) lacks on the bottom in sealed apps, just like my review.

and if u think i was trying to mislead anybody, guess again. and try to read my review. i'll also wager that if u mic the subs in ur car, there definitely isn't going to be "twice the difference" between the rl-p and the xxx. xxx louder, i don't doubt. twice as loud? ur smokin crack fanboy.

and like mentioned above...it's my opinion. just like this is urs...the only difference is i didn't call out any xxx owners and say they were misleading ppl. i did say that i thought the xxx is overlyhyped. it is great sub, but there are subs out there that can compete and for less $$. and yes, it is absolutley application dependant.

u guys need to learn how to read and watch who u badmouth......mislead ppl...i'll lead my foot properly right into ur puny fu(kin *****.....

I really wanna read a XXX vs IDMAX review... I wanted a XXX but a deal on the IDMAX was too good to pass up ($240 in a sealed box for local pickup, fresh re-cone, never seen power)

Maybe down the road I can get a XXX and try that bad boy out....for now (now meaning Sunday) I will stick with the ID MAX

interesting? i have an rl-p in a deathbox 2 (http://www.decware.com) with 600 wrms, its gets so loud and so deep it makes me feel sick if i play it too long to loud, no headache from it being clipped or booming, just super solid deep bass, and the sq is off the chart good? i guess the extra $200 for the xxx is for a reason, i wonder what it is? more x max? voice coils? surround? anyone know furshizzle? im glad is1pimp found a sub that works for him!now he can stop posting the same questions over and over all over the net............

from a few shows i went to the idmax vs the xxx is almost the same as the rl-p vs the xxx. imho i would compare the xxx to a dd 9500 series. this is just going by results i hear not actually installing either.

I had similar problems when I had my RL-p. (RIP)

I followed the advice, did some learning, and got effin' loud.

So go get your hands dirty, attention-problem boy, and build a ****ed box.

I think you're taking his 'misleading' comments too personally. I warned this would happen, people read your review and make more of the Rl-p than really is, but oh well, I was just an RE fanboi hyping up "my" subs back then, what did I know.
You were very sensitive nobody crapped on your review or your opinion, I suggest you be just as cautious with this person's. Thanks.

Whatever there RE boy
Ok, boy who boasts of subs that aren't even out yet.

I can see who you've got a woody for.

At least I don't go around jacking one off for the prototype RE woofer that isn't out yet... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Simple way to settle this. Send them both to me, I will have everyone (the dallas crew) make a review. We will use a TL, RTA, and use several ported and sealed enclosures. We also have access to everyones amps ranging from 300rms-5krms. Several different types of vehicles to test them in.

If anyone is interested I can leave a deposit for a "just in case" situation.

well too late now, its already sold and gone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Not a problem though, i was still giving it too much power i believe, the RL-P isn't made to handle 1200 watts daily like the XXX is.
