Its not that your biased, its that last i chcked on SSA you didn't know how to build a proper box for a sub.

what does that have to do with anything?? he said they were tested in a pre-fab..what the hell is so hard to believe here people??

Where are you seeing that i am using 1/2 the size recomended enclosure? The RE recomends the same size for a 12 XXX as well.

Its a SubZone prefab. Made of 3/4 MDF.

I bet neither sub is running anywhere close to optimum, but regardless the XXX compeltely destroyed the RL-P in my particular setup running 1200 watts rms.

I don't even need more SPL than the XXX is giving me right now, its already pushing it for daily driving. If i would have kept the RL-P, i was gonna give it a ported box though, becuase the SPL was simply not there.

Yeah, i would have thought the RL-P would be running better in a small box, being thats its like 1/2 the size of the XXX, but apparantly the XXX actually runs much better in it.

i don't see your point? I bet even with a ported enclosure it wouldn't have satisfied my SPL desires.

ive owned a few sub-zone boxes, sealed and ported. theyre decently built with no air leaks or anything that ive experienced.
