i just recently bought a pair of 12" RL-p subs and am im the process of building a 3.7@28hz enclosure firing crx style subs up and angled toward the rear and a 6" port firing to the rear. this will be in a 03 tiburon gt powered with a viper d1200.1 @1 ohm until i can get a more powerful amp. is it possible with this amount of power to do a decent hairtrick? how do you think it will sound daily? i listen to everything from rap to rock to country. what suggestions would you guys make for me to be able to do hairtricks and get a good bit of flex. i am not really chasing numbers but looking for great output, great accuracy, and the ability to drop low when needed. what would you guys suggest and do you think a move to a sundown 1500 will help me or should i look for more power? thanks for any answers you can give me.

Rlps are a great SQL sub.

hahaha, no hair trick with those. great subs, but not going to get loud enough for that.

yea, the RL-p's are geared for SQL, not SPL. are u looking to get loud or really sound good. me personally, i just got my 15" RL-p hooked up in a 3 cube sealed box. still working on the settings of the amp and HU, but overall dosn't sound to bad.

well i know they will sound **** good...especially tuned low. will give a pretty flat response. i want to be loud and have a ton of impact in the low notes. not only hear the bass but feel it much more in your chest. how do you like your 15"? are you going to go ported with it?

probably not do to the amount of space in my trunk. i did some tweeking on it last night but didn't get a chance to listin to it this morning since the youngun with me in the car. i'll be lettin it wang tonight though.

nice..be sure to let me know how you like it. i have mine in a 1.5/sub sealed enclosure right now but am waiting for wire to get here so i can get them wangin. i will be building the box later this month..maybe a week or two. should sound good and get pretty loud. tuning to 28...so should be nice and lowwwww

I don't see any hairtricks comin. I ran one 12 rlp sealed on 600 watts and it was plenty to get it moving. Great sounding sub. I'm guessing two ported in a little hatch should get nice and loud!

yea i am thinking of getting a saz1500d eventually and selling the viper 1200.1. i like the efficiency and power output of the sundown. thing is a tank. from what i hear, these should get loud especially in my car. so theres no way to do a hairtrick with these subs? what can i expect for loudness? is there a more mainstream sub that these can be compared to in output and accuracy? what do you guys know? and i will work on pics and vids when i get everything done..maybe even a buildlog for the enclosure. i plan on doing a nice paintjob on the box..should look nice.
