right price for component install

Hey guys I have a 94 integra and I'm putting in 2 sets of Infinity 605cs component speakers; how much should this come out to be? The guys around here are saying about 130 for install.

$130 sounds reasonable...if you have any skill and/or willing to learn...install them yourself and save $130. But hey, if you have $130 to throw away, and dont want to do it yourself, nothings holding you back.

Best Buy charges $60.

so do most of the shops around here, Although i think that if you have confidence, and want to learn....do it yourself.

I wouldnt exactly trust them installing anything in my vehicle - although some of the guys I know, know what they are talking about - unlike the many others we have encountered in those types of stores.

I used to work at a local chain of high-end home and car audio equipment stores called SoundWaves. I was an installer for a few years. $130 sounds pretty high to me. Unless they are doing some real custom work, like modifying the door panel or cutting a bunch of metal in the door.

I could probably do it for you for a lot cheaper, and I do pretty good work (If I do say so myself). I have a lot of IASCA trophies to back up my work. Give me a "Holler" if you live in the SW Ohio area.

I'd try it urself. hardest part is cutting door panel to fit tweeter. Go to radioshack and get a metal nibbler, best device past claw pick-up.

I totally agree, Get A hole Saw, and do it yourself, you will save a $hitload of money,gain confidence, and learn at the same time.

you will know ur way around your car alot better if u install ur stuff your self

135 is too much for components alone. but if its 135 to install the components PLUS an amp to power them, then that sounds like a good deal. but 135 for components alone is too much.
