Whats everyones opinion of the 12" Power HX2. Good/Bad? Whats better for $240.oo.

I want to get (1) 12" sub that will pound like a mother *****.And id get a custom (ported) box to clean my trunk up some.

WHats IDMAX? along with SPL, i know sq, and most other abrivations.

ID MAX is a sub made by Image Dynamics, 1000-1800 watts

SPL stands for Sound Presure Level, in other words its the amount of air a sub moves.

I was thinking of powering the sub w/a Power 800.2 and putting in a ported box(3 cubic ft), will this be a good combo??

i have the punch hx2s in a sealed bow they hit hard. so i would have to think that a power would pund like hell. i have 2 punches but i still would think that the powers would sound good in a ported box. good luck

I have a question. I have just bought one 12" rfr 3112(power hx2) It has 2 2ohm voice coils. now my question is, how do i wire them for 2 ohms???

I was told you cant wire them for two ohms. only 1ohm or 4ohms. I bought the rockford bd1000.1 amp to power the sub. it gives off 500 watts at 4ohms but i want to give them the 1000watts the amp gives at 2 ohms.
