haha 2000 watts isnt to bad. thats what my last setup was. if you want sql i'd say go for an ssa icon 12. 1250 rms and they sound good underpowered. or a dc level 2 or 3. mylows10 is selling a 15" dc level 3 sub.

look for an american bass 75.1 or a dc 1.2 and yes i do have the dc lvl 3 15 for sale i can also help you out with one of these amps if you want new

sorry guys but the last time i REALLY got into car audio the big names were still Rockford, Kicker, Pioneer, Infinity etc etc. so these abbreviations are killing me lol

i loved my american bass 75.1. but yeah we really need a budget to fully give you some good ideas lol just throw out a realistic number that you could possibly spend.

honestly the most i could go would be $500 total for the sub and amp together. like i said i'm not looking to blow my trunk off or flex my windows just want my family to know i'm home before i pull into the driveway so i have time to turn it down without pissing off the neighbors.

that depends on what type of american bass sub it is. my girl has the tnt style and they are under rated at 600 rms. they go for 100brand new

higher soundstream is good. probably not for the range you are looking for though

and one of these:

Audiopipe APSM-1500 300W Mini Design Monoblock MOSFET Car Amplifier

i know the amp is audiopipe, but it has been proven to put out 1300 watts rms of clean power. all together this setup comes to $350

i just figured since he is on a budget he would want to spend as little as possible. but since he has 150 more dollars to spend on an amp i will reccomend somethin like this:
