Reviews towards my system...

I currently own a 1997 Lumina (yeah, its the best tuner out there... yeah...) and I got a opti1234D in a sealed box, an 1 farad Memphis Capacitor and an Directed 750D Amplifier. I can't find much on reviews for all of my products, but all in all, it bangs pretty ****ed good.

 

My question is should I change anything with my set up. I got 4G wiring, which I think is sufficient. Does anyone have any suggestions to make this any better or make it better w/o buying anything new??

you could make a ported box and it would be louder

I was told that. Should I drill a few new holes in my box or should I buy a Q-Logic ported box? I was thinking about doing that. In the morning, I will take some pics of it so people can see it.

you do realize theres more to a ported enclosure than drilling holes, right?

Yeah, I do. I am probably going to buy a Q-Logic ported box, and maybe even buy an Alpine R Type to go with it. I just wanted a review on my equipment.

Most of your stuff is decent.

Save your money, ask for some box plans from someone on this site, and build the ported box yourself.

Another Hype-R user coming? Do some research and buy something you will be 100% satisfied with.

Is the Opti1234D better than the R-Type? I have heard ALOT of conflicts on these and just want to make sure that I am making the right decision. My Opti is one of the best subs I have ever heard.

whatever sub you end up using, DO NOT get a prefab. have someone design your box on here, buy the wood @ home depot, have them cut it if you want, and use wood glue and clamps in construction. it will cost wayy less than a prefab, and sound wayy better tuned to your subs
