I initially decided to get the Audiocontrol Epic 150 as a .5 DIN filler because i hated putting a 1 DIN head unit in the GM 1.5 DIN location. Using a Metra GM head unit/EQ combination mounting package, I mounted the EQ below the head unit. (looks much better than just a head unit)
In the final stages of my system build, i got to test my setup for the first time on sunday. My comments on the epic 150: ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT!!!
The bass restoration feature really brings the bass line to life. (using a JL 500/1 and a JL12w6v2 in a sealed box) Even listening to a Journey CD became a new experience. I feel like my sub has sheer power (much like the THX sound clip at the beginning of certain movies in the theatre)
I highly reccomend this unit and for $80 on ebay, it's by far one of best "bang for the buck" parts of my system
