Review my System!

okay guys.. I'm thinking about picking up a new system for my truck, and I'm curious what you guys think.

source - Clarion cx609

front comp - Alpine spx-17ref

rear coax - Alpine spr-17s

subs - 2 JL 10w3v3

box - foxacoustics dual 10"

4ch amp - JL 300/4

mono amp - JL 500/1

I'm sitting right around $1800 or so.. plus cables wiring and etc. I plan on installing it with the help of a much more experienced friend.. so that save install fees. I was thinking about throwing a set on comps in the rear.. but I figured it would be a waste since I plan on fading out the rear most of the time. I'm not looking for an overkill system, just something that's good quality and will last me. Does it look good?

you could have a much, much nicer sounding system for a fraction of the cost if you listened to equipment suggestions from members here and veered away from alpine and jl.

Put 2 Sundown SA 12's on a SAZ 1500. Put a 100.4 Sundown Amp on the speakers. Your setup will be about 4x better.

You're silly. The Alpine Type-X series, REF and/or PRO, is some of the best bang for the buck you can get.

You got a nice system however, you honestly could have bought everything in my sig for that amount.

I'm sure some of the suggestions would be nice.. but not all are reasonable.

I'm using an underseat box, can't fit 12s without a seat lift.. and the foxacoustics dual 10 box is specced for JL 10w3s.. and fits perfect in the truck.

I would ditch the rear coaxials and use the extra $$ to go with SPX Pros up front UNLESS you feel the need to entertain your rear seat passengers with music.

Unless Zenon, uh, I mean Sundown, has managed to address their inherent noise issues with the latest revision, there is NO WAY I would run one on my mids and highs.

Now the SAZ1500... I would take more than likely that over the JL 500/1 just for the additional power.
