Very true.putting runs of rope or wire underneath glass for long straights works excellent.. very strong reinforcement. i dont know about doing that on the inside of a box though...
Not harder. It's hard to distinguish...ive been told the harder the surface is the louder the bass will become?

With the cost vs. performance ratio, I would go with other options personally.
This is why i did it...especially in the corners. However, if I could cut worth a lick, I wouldn't need to that anyway. It's a bandaid for lack of craftsmanship.The reason people put resin inside a box is to seal the MDF not to make it stronger. MDF alone is porous.
