I went to replace my front batt with my exide orbital tonight, the battery terminals will not reach. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif The exide is about 1-2 inches taller than the stock batt. Should I extend the wires or try to use the side post on the exide? I dont know how much difference it will make, my stock batt is 590 cca and the exide is 750.

there are posts made for side mount batteries that screw in that make the side mount look like the to mount you know what i mean..Not sure i think autozone may have them only seen them once..

o word i got ya. i was thinking the same when I replace mine (have an escape too). what if you pit a ring terminal in the stock wire, and throw a bolt through it. To get it to your batt, use another piece of wire, connect it to your batt, and on the other end, do the same you did for the stock wire. (put a ring terminal on it and put it on the bolt. throw a nut on it with lock washer to keep em together and tape that ***** up. Im sure there are a LOT better ways, but that was the first that came to mind......

f that! It wouldnt be hard for the (-) because i am going to do the Big 3, but I dont think I will trace the 2-4 positives runnin to the batt and replace them. You thot that wire was hard to work with, if we tried that WOW.

hell 1/0 kicker you have plenty

ok I got the side posts and it still wont work. The side posts are on opposite sides of what the battery I have now is. Looks like I am going to need to sell this one and go with a different. What is a good one?
