Replace stock unit and retain Onstar functionality (Pontiac Bonneville)

Maybe somebody here knows,

im looking to replace my stock headunit in my 2003 Pontiac Bonneville SSE, the problem is the vehicle has onstar and i wish to retain that functionality.

Im currently using an RCA conversion kit for my amplifier, but was wondering if anybody had experience with replacing these.

When you replace, get the GMRC-01 harness. It will retain onstar

No. The GMRC-01 is the wrong part for On-star retention in an '03 Bonneville.

You will need either the Metra GMOS-05 (for non-amplified stock system) or the GMOS-09 (for factory amplified system).

Guess I should have taken the moment to check before typing. With nearly every other GM in the 2000 era being the same, I forget that the bonneville was the oddball
