Help with old eclipse cd8053 and bla 37601

I am working on getting my stereo put in my old truck, I have a couple of questions. What I have is an old eclipse cd8053 and balanced line adapter model 37601. The hu has 8v balanced output and then the bla ups it to 16v, at least the way I understand it. My question is where should I mount the bla, close to the hu or the amps. The hu and the bla both have female rcas so I would need an adapter to plug them straight into each other(which I think I have). It is going in a reg cab pickup so mounting them apart is still not going to be far. But running 3 rcas to the rear as opposed to 6 would be easier. But is it supposed to boost the voltage to keep the noise out of the rcas or filter out the noise after the rca run?

Or should I just sell it and get something simpler?

Nevermind I searched for the bla number and got my answer, I didn't find anything when searching for the deck, gave up to soon. Sorry.
