ok this is really strange and i am going to explain to the best of my ability the issue i am having.... this is the 2nd time this has happend and i just kinda brushed it off the first time like "oh well bad fuse" but now that it happend again within like 3 weeks im suspecting somthing might be wrong. ok i have a 4awg power wire running from my battery to an inline fuse block with an 80 amp fuse, from that holder i have another length of 4awg wire going to a 4awg to 8awg fused distro block then 2 seperate 8awg lengths going to each amp (sub/front stage) now heres the problem.... the 80 amp fuse that i have for my sub amp keeps "failing".... (mind u i didnt say blowing.... there is nothing "visually" wrong with the fuse its just bad...) i also i have an 80amp fuse for my front stage amp that one never "goes bad" but the sub one does. i have checked the length of power wire after the distro going to the sub amp and there is no bare wire (or any damage for that matter) so its no grounding out.. and i donno what could be casuing this trouble.... do i need a larger than 80 amp fuse for a Hifonics BX1000D? or is it somthing else....

Sounds like the amp is trying to draw more current then the fuse will allow. Upgrading your wire running from the battery to the distribution block and then installing the proper sized fuses all around should solve your problem.
