Removing 4 channel amp? Speakers dont work

I have a 2004 honda civic and got a 4 channel amp installed by a shop a while back. They left all the stock wiring of the car speakers to the head unit. But theres also speaker wiring from the 4channel amp to the head unit that i have disconnected since I starting having issues with the amp i removed it but the speakers wont play without it. Is it maybe because of the rca's that are connected on the head unit? If anybody knows what i have to do to play them with just the head unit. Can you please let me know thxs. That doesnt make any sense. If the wiring to the speakers was connected to both the head unit AND the amp, you would have been having troubles from the very beginning. From what youre describing, the speaker leads from the H/U got snipped somewhere and the installer just spliced speaker wires from the amp to the factory stuff going back throughout the car. If youre wanting to go back to deck power, youll just need to track that connection back to where its made and reverse it back to the deck
