I believe you can use that to turn on the amp, not sure though. Try it and see if the amp turns on. All that wire does is tell the power antenna to raise when the head unit is turned on, i don't see why that wouldn't work to turn the amp on.The only blue wire on the hardness is Power antenna.
Is the power antenna wire coming out of the head unit or out of the wiring harness attached to the car?Isnt the Power antenna for the HU radio?
Umm, if i'm not mistaken, if he hooks up the remote wire to the wire on the harness that won't do anything. The power antenna wire on the harness is LOOKING for power from the head unit to turn on the power antenna. If i'm not understanding you, my bad. I think you need a tester to see which wires are "live" when the car is on/off to determine where to hook up the remote wire.In talking to him on AIM, it seems like there's an antenna wire coming out of the factory wiring..
He could just tap into the blue wire on the harness with the blue wire coming from his amp and be done with it.
All the amp needs is the signal that the headunit is turned on.. That's all the remote wire does.
