Just got alpine hu and was wondering how you hook up the internal amp? havent set it up yet but t looks harder than I tohugh tit was gonna be.

Just run a 8awg power cable straight to the battery. Which model is it? Make sure you put in an inline fuse. It isn't hard...just need to find or make a hole in your firewall. Same as installing an amp.

8 awg is too thick and is unecessary.... get 12. And fuse it up front too.

Bah, unless you're running 25+ volume with MX on, bass + treble boosted, and you're playing sine waves for a good 1/2 hour, you're not going to run into any problems using the stock wiring ...

i would agree, but doesn't hte higher alpine hus, ie:9815, recommend u to use another power wire if u use their v power internal amp or something like that?

They actually recommend 8awg straight to battery.

i never knew about this, internal amp thing. do all alpine hus have this? i dont think mine does, i think i have the cheapest one.

Not all do just some. I think it is called V-drive or something.
