i lived 4 blocks from a naval shipyard.. i saw examples of drunken, stupid and unbecoming squids all the time. I mean partying in the streets, chucking beer bottles at cars, fights, yelling all night long, shooting fireworks out the windows at people walking down the streets..all sorts of shit.. never saw the naval police (or any other police, it was the fukkin ghetto)

If you've never spent time in a War Zone, you have no clue how it changes you, and all of you saying that your buddies who are in the Army wouldn't do something like that have no clue either. You change while you are there, plain and simple.

I'm a father of 3, like to think I'm a good father. I'm an outstanding member of my local community and I now instruct National Guard soldiers who are headed to Iraq, and I did some things over there that looking back on it, weren't in my character at all.

War changes you, if you don't realize that your buddies with "morals" lost a lot of them while they were over there, you're high.

Excuses dont explain, and explanations dont excuse.

So in order to justify the deaths that have already happened, we should accept more deaths?! I don't see how pulling out in a few more years, with a few thousand more dead troops is going to do that.

Its a mess, when we pull out its going to get worse, doesn't matter if we pull out now or in a few years.

War is war. People are going to die one way or another. Deaths may occur, but it is for the country. It may be crappy, what situation they are in, but I be d@mn if we pull out now before gettig the Iraqi military setup and a some what decent govt setup before we leave. If it is on those terms then leave. If it goes to hell after that, it will be Iraqs fault not ours. We leave now, and the countries who do have our support will question our integrity in future conflicts. It is not our best intrest to leave now as hard as it is to say.

What are we winning? No disrespect but we already got what we wanted, the war against saddam was won long ago. Iraq is no thread to us, they never really have been. No terrorists from iraq have even bothered coming to the us and actually doing anything. They never had WMD's. The people that we're calling terrorists right now, the iraqqi citizens are calling "freedom fighters", and im not kidding, its on their news. So let them live as they wish, they are no threat to us and we have no right to hold others to our ideals.

But this is not a debate about the administration, it is about a select group of soldiers that have resorted to deviant behaviour. We should probably keep it that way as there are enough threads on endless bickering on the war, going back and forth from right to left.

and someone in the military ripped me off for 550 dollars ON THIS FORUM...so much for being honorable...thank god i have free legal counsiling here at ucf, it took 7 months but im tracking his *** down and sueing him in janurary. i have nothing for respect for the good people who serve and defend this country,

but there's also alot of washed up shit heads that go into the military cause thier too stupid or too much of a failure at life to make it in our society. those are the same sketch balls that dress up prisoners and sodomize people. these are the same sletch balls that rip people off and take advantage of people and get away with it easier cause thier in the military. these are the sketch balls that make it look bad for the good people over there. i have friends in the middle east right now and i pray they make it home safely. as for the people that make it bad, and ESPECALLY for aaron paul johnston in atlanta (hehehe and finally after 7 months i have his current address, hope he likes florida, cause he'll have to com,e here to defend himself in court) i wish nothing but for karma to **** them in the ***

and on a side note for the past 7 months the military has NOT been helpful whatsofocking ever trying to help a civillian like me get justice against a scammer who was in the military living ON base at the time of the crime....real helpful, exept the opposite of that.
