remember that "iraqi kids running for water" video?

boo fucking hoo
you know why he doesnt know what its like? He didnt choose that career. You did so live with it. The kid running for water didnt choose his life but the soldier chose his. Im sick of hearing you dont know how hard we have it, I didnt chose that lifestyle cause I knew what it was gonna be.
what about those in the national guard?

no but they chose to be soldiers knowing it is a very good possibility expecially with a right wing president.
i'd be willing to bet that alot of people joined after the 9/11 attack. their motivation may have been to go to war with terrorists. what more motivation does someone need to want to go to war?

and do you know what 'stop-loss' is?!

The stop-loss policy, in the United States military, is the involuntary retention of some troops to remain in service beyond their expected or contractually agreed-upon term. Stop loss was created by Congress after the Vietnam War; it was first significantly used just before and during the first Gulf War. It has been used more extensively since 2001 primarily to fight the War on Terrorism declared by George W. Bush.

I cant believe people are so upset over the bottle of water of shit.

sure its not the ideal way we want our troops to represent the US, but jesus its not abu ghraib. Bring them home and we wont have such stupid shit to worry about.

i said that back when all of you were laughing. That is not funny. Those kids are poor and starving. You would be pissed if it was the other way around. Your supposed to respect your liberities and freedom. Not everyone else has them and it's nothing to taunt about.

This thread is ignorant to start with.....

If you've never spent time in a War Zone, you have no clue how it changes you, and all of you saying that your buddies who are in the Army wouldn't do something like that have no clue either. You change while you are there, plain and simple.

I'm a father of 3, like to think I'm a good father. I'm an outstanding member of my local community and I now instruct National Guard soldiers who are headed to Iraq, and I did some things over there that looking back on it, weren't in my character at all.

War changes you, if you don't realize that your buddies with "morals" lost a lot of them while they were over there, you're high.

They were not too smart if they thought they could never be called up. Hell I wouldnt be a cop for that reason. When ever you choose a career where weapons are involved there is always risk with it. Thats like me *****ing when i was doing mma that you dont know what its like to get punched in the face and take it out on kids by kicking them in the mouth. If you jump into something without knowing the risk then I dont know what to tell you.

i must have missed the part where the guy kicked the kid in the face. i thought he just held out a bottle of water without throwing it.

Maybe he was worried that it might hurt the poor kid if he tossed it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

wtf are you talking about none of them soldiers look to be old enough to have enlisted during the wtc incident. So guess what that means they knew war was very possible.

in the interest of our national security, i feel thankful that not everyone thinks that way.

are you justifying his action?

I know war can change you. My dad was over there for a year and came close to getting hit. But they are supposed to be Professional Soldiers, that far from being a professional.
