Sometimes I look at the bad just so hopefully I will get good out of it. In your case you could look at the stuff you got out of it and the times you were happy. I have been with my girl for almost 6 months and it seems like we fight about the stupidest shit now, hopefully it doesnt come down to what you and your girl did. If you need anything else just post it up.....

Thanks for the support and help, but its pretty much over. As i said, i hate to see 4.5 years just wasted, but life goes on. And its not like im just sittin here crying my eyes out or something, because we have been arguing for a long time now, and when i felt like it may come to this, i got in touch with a handful of my old female friends. And one of them happen to be her bestfriend. I know its probably wrong, but she doesnt own me so pretty much i can talk to who ever i feel like. Well, come to think about it, they used to be bestfriends. Anyways, im cool and about to continue with my life. I just posted this to make sure i was making the right decision and i shouldnt keep trying. But after talking to her for the final time last night, i couldnt be any happier with my decision.

You keep saying that you have wasted 4.5 years of your life. I have a question for you. When your parents die (assuming they die before you) and say you are 45 years old. Would you then say that you wasted 45 years of your life?? Absolutely not.

The point is that life is all about memories. If you had a good time for 4.5 years then keep it that way. End it now, remember how great it WAS and go on. There is NO REASON for thinking that any of your life was a waste. If you hated being with her then you would have left. There WAS some sort of enjoyment so it was worth it.

My good friend went through a bad break up and I tried to tell him the same, he was depressed, on medication and all that. I finally got him to understand.

Hope I make some sense to you too.

It could be a hell of a lot worse. I'm 18 and I've never had any type of relationship whatsoever.
