Maybe you're talking about the added load from a discharged cap? It's actually pretty much non existent unlike in standard caps. The resistance of an ultracap is nearly zero, so there's no extra load.
Also music is dynamic, you're not going to see much of a drop unless you're playing tones for more than a burp.

These caps can store and discharge very fast but there's a problem, once they dump that's it where as a good battery has a lot of reserve current. A good one can charge just as fast also

great batts to , but i got more out of a 6 month old pc2150 than i did out of a new d 3100

A good battery can NOT charge anywhere near as fast as an ultracap; the resistance is too high. Like I said, an ultracap's resistance approaches zero - so charging is near instantaneous and voltage drop is nonexistant. Also there's still the voltage drop to 12-13v that accompanies a battery (once again due to the resistance of the battery and inability to hold a charge much higher than it's voltage rating) - ultracaps hold the alternator's charging voltage.

I believe there was some testing done that showed a single bank of ultracaps supporting a 500a current for 5 seconds before dropping to the voltage you'd expect to see from a high quality battery. If I find the thread I'll link it for you. Note that a continuous 500a draw is NOT going to happen on music in 99.9% of setups. If so, you could just add more banks, anyway.

Caps have a place in classes that limit batteries but what do you still see in classes that don't? A good battery should have no resistance at or above resting.

People have done a lot of testing with caps, and caps are always louder than batteries. Doesn't matter how big of a battery bank it is. Testing was also done with batteries and caps, and it was still louder, but still not as loud as caps alone.

I dont have any experiance with caps. I'm basing judgment off what I see. Dante and Butler don't use caps and I'm sure they could if they wanted to. Neither does any big ground pounder

A lot more people use caps than you think. They were kept a secret for a long time, but now the secret is out.
