I have 2 12" JL W3V2's, and I want one amp. Right now I have two amps. One powers my subs and the other the speakers. The one powering the speakers is my stock amplifier, which I believe is Bose as well.
You won't gain enough of a performance increase (if any at all) by amping those OEM Bose speakers with an aftermarket amp to warrant the cost of getting one to do so.
Your best bet there if you are unhappy with the way they sound currently would be to yank that Bose gear out of there and start fresh.
Additionally I do not think (though I am not absolutely certain on this) that the coil configuration on those Bose units is really appropriate for aftermarket amplification either.
Too bad that Bose is allegedly "audiophile quality" according to most automakers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
well the reason i want to replace my stock speaker amp with another one is because i get a humming sound from the speakers with my new headunit. i thought by replacing the amp i could fix this problem.
