Recommendation Please

I've been searching numerous threads looking for ideas on which drivers I should use and I can not make up my mind so I'm looking for some guidance. I have an 05 4runner that has the double floor storage in the rear so i would like to design a box to fit under that to keep it out of the way of everything and be able to throw stuff in the back.

Anyway, here are the demensions i have to work with.....

8" high, 21" deep, 41"wide

With only having 8 inches of mounting depth, more like 6.5 after you minus out the wood itself, that leaves me with running 8's or 10's correct? Most 12;s probably require more mounting depth and i would like to not run shallow mount subs. I'm looking at the Sundown E8's, maybe 4 of them. What would be a good amp to push those? And that would be a 1 ohm load correct?

So if anyone has any sub recommendations as well as what amp to run, please feel free to post.

just a few tips: When you post in search for ideas and tips on subs or amplifiers etc it helps to give a price range on the equipment you want to buy. The reason no one is answering your thread is because you didn't supply enough information for them to make suggestions. I myself like pictures if possible. I am just curious to why you don't want to use shallow subs? Some of them sound and play better than regular size subs. Another problem I can fore see is if you bury your sub under a false floor it will definitely not play at optimum levels. Actually I think you will not be happy at all with the sound. Look into pre-made sub boxes that may fit perfectly in your 4 runner allowing you to save space.

I would like to keep the total for subs and amp to around $500. I would like to run 3 of the E8's but with a single 4 ohm voice coil, I dont know what the final ohm laod would be. I know with 2 or 4 drivers, i could see a 2 ohm load and its easier to pick an amp. The price of the E8's is just hard to pass up and it looks like a pretty good driver.

Maybe just run 2 E8's with a Kicker ZX500?

The reason i didnt want a shallow mount sub was because I have heard a couple in the past and wasnt impressed, i dont remember the brand though so that doesnt help, sorry. But if you have a suggestion for one i will take a look at it.
