Recommend Sub/Amp for $600

i currently have an Eclipse 400w amp powering a JL 12" w1v2. i now have about $600 to spend on a new/used sub and amp. could you guys recommend me a good combo? Im more into SQ than SPL, but i still want it to "hit" pretty hard. i want to be able to feel it deep in my chest.

I heard the JL Audio 12" w6v2 ($300 used) running off a JL Audio 500/1 ($300 used) is a very good combo for both SQ and SPL. What about a Diamond 12" TDX running off a JL Audio 500/1? Is there any other good combo's for ~$600?
