Ok, these are what I'm working with:

I'm going sealed

Amp gives 400 watts @ 4ohms

I'm looking more for sq

stay around 200, preferably lower

Going in a Jetta '01

I've been thinking of going with the infinity kappa perfect 12", just want to see what else is out there before I end up making the purchase.

For 400 watts that infinity kappa will do well. I would also check into the atlas.

What's the diff between the VQ series and the regular?? It said something about control over the q, i don't even know what the hell that means....

Don't you think 400 watts is a lil too much power to an idq? I don't wanna risk ruining it

well yea you can "customize" the sub to run optimally based on the type/size of enclosure you put it in using the "q inserts". and they DO work. Pretty nice invention i do say so myself.

i got mine for around 180 but i forgot where.

Dls MW12. Extremely musical. Sound sweet in a sealed box. Very SQ oriented.

most subs blow due to clipping vs. overpowering. just make sure it's clean watts. read gain tutorial.

yea, i heard good things about these, but they only come in 10" (not that big a deal) and I believe dual 4 ohm coils (big deal, my amp puts out 400 at 4 ohm).
