First, they need to fit into a MTX thunderform enclosure, I called MTX and they said the maximum mounting diameter is 5 5/16". I would like to keep it closer to 5" in order to sound deaden the inside of the enclosure. Sealed, the enclosure offers .75 cubes per side ( open not separated)

Second, They will be powered by a Kicker 700.5 amp, rated at 410 watts RMS @ 2ohms, for the sub channel

Third is price. I would like to keep it under $300 for the pair (internet pricing of course)

The Thunderform comes loaded with thunder4500's so whatever replacement should be an upgrade.

Im looking at the JL 10w1, the Mephis M class Or anything else that will be better.

Thanks!

i got a used working pair of 10" jl 10w3s

$90 to your door

try to find some of the Image Dynamics Idqv2s. The new v3s run about $250 a piece, so what you could do is seal off one of those cutouts and have 1.5 cuft sealed for 1 10" IDQv3 and i promise it would have all the output and more SQ than you would need. haha i cant get enough of my sub!!! I highly recommend it!!

eD fit into alot of different boxes, they're cheap, and are decent for sq and output //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif 10kv2 pair would work nicely in there I'd say //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'd recommend FI X series since they're closing them out, but I don't think they'll make the depth requirement //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif may want to check into them!

Im really leaning to the Elemental Designs. Combined the power handling is 600 watts RMS. Would my kicker amp be under powering them? Im mostly looking for SQL. Should Xmax be an important spec when sub shopping?
