Reception Problem

Hello everyone !

I could use a little

I just bought a Jeep XJ and the P/O had just installed a new Pioneer Super Tuner model DEH-P3800MP.

My problem is low signal strength, There are two stations I listen to and are 35/45 miles away. I have no problems with the stock systems in my other two vehicles but this one fades on one station and won't even pick up the other.

I have tried the local/distance adjustments on the tuner to no avail.

I performed a search and found this thread; http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67659&highlight=antenna+signal+booster But poking a wire or hanger in the antenna plug is not a proper solution to the problem.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

may not be proper, but if it works, and dosent cause any damage, then who cares?

my car has an automated antenna and my antenna wire wasn't hooked up so I got bad reception, check your wiring

maybe its just the cdplayer itself that has a low signal strength
