Rear USB input

Hi, I'm new to installing custom stereos. I am looking for a new car, and I want to get the AppRadio 4 to go in it so I can get Apple CarPlay. However, majority of the cars I am looking at do not have a USB port. I know the AppRadio 4 has two USBs in the back, one specifically for CarPlay. But are they accessible if the car has no USB port? And if the it is accessible, would there be wires sticking out from weird places or would I be able to mount the USB port neatly on the car dashboard?

So would I have to punch a hole somewhere in the dash for it to come out?
yup.. if you're really worried about it put it on a small piece of trim so you can just replace the trim later when you want to get rid of it.

or get a headunit with a front USB port.

we do have bluetooth now... by the way.
