Rear speakers crackling

I just installed rear speakers in my car and with the music low they sound fine but when I turn up the volume it crackles. At first I thought there was something wrong with the speakers but then when i made it so just the back right speaker was playing and had it loud it sounded fine and the same for the back left one. Why would this be?

Sounds like you need more power to them. They are distorting. What kind of speakers are they? Look for a small 2 channel amplifier. You can easily find a good one for less than $100.

I already have an amp for my subs and an amp for my components in the front. You think I need a sperate one for my back speakers?
