Realm Audio Subs (Mini-Review

I just picked up 2 12s off of a member here to do a false floor install in my tiburon. Finally got them installed about a week ago and boy do they sound tight. Have them both in 1.2CF (each) sealed enclosure. I'm powering them with the ED Nine.5, which puts out about 600W (list) at 1ohm, which is what I have these subs wired down to. All I can really say is that the SQ out of this pair is amazing. I have heard the full range, from Hertz to JL to ED to RE ect. ect. ect. and these are pretty close to the top of SQ subs that I have heard. Still have to do my front stage (have to get new comps) so it's hard to really tell how nice everything is going to mesh, but if you haven't heard these subs ( I believe they just came out last year?) I would do your best to go check some out. even at the modest 700Ws that I'm probably pushing they sound fully rounded and have some great response for 12s. They are relatively heavy compared to other SQ 12s, if that is a consideration for someone.

Bottom Line: For ~150 bucks I would be interested to see if anyone thought there was anything SQ oriented that compared to these.

I'll get some pics of my install up and some video (not that it really helps you hear the SQ much).

Oh and props to 528htz that convinced me to buy these off him.

Thanks for the review, those look to be nice subs.

The Realm component sets look nice too, ever thought of pairing those with your subs?

I don't have a Local Dealer for Realm, and with so little consumer info (I.E. REVIEWS!) I would be buying blind. I don't doubt they sound nice, but hard to tell without your ear and a speaker. Was thinking about using Rainbow SLC 265s...

Can't wait to see what you did with them, and I'm really glad you like them so much. I still stand behind everything I've said about Realm, and it's nice to get someone to back me up on there SQ.

Nice, conservative power you got going to them. Throw 600 at em and really hear what they'll do. When I was running the SAZ-1500 to them it was just too much, but they liked it for the short time I used them. I wished I would have run them sealed to hear what they sound like.

Just called realm, they helped me out with an AD in my area (new as of last week).

Apparently the components are supposed to compare to focal...

Guy at realm was raving about them, so was the guy at the AD who also sells focal gear, so I'm gonna go see what's up over there.

I'll take some pictures once I get it all cleaned up.
