HDC3-15s

In the future, I was planning on upgrading to 2 15" HDC3s. I was going to run them off a Lightning Audio X1.2000.1D that I have laying around. I dont have any experience with these subs, but I've searched and read about them on here. I know most guys are running closer to 2k watts to them, even though they're only rated for 1k. Do you think I could still push em well enough with my amp and make up for the lack of power with a bigger box. Or will making the box too big make them sound like crap?

i have my hdc3 15 in a chambered t-line roughly 4 cubes tuned to 34hz and i love it. sending it maybe 1700rms. have not had any issues with it. i dont know anything abou the amp u have but give them a good clean 1500-2k and u will be happy.

Do you have the one with aluminum coils or copper coils?
