hooked up new memphis PRD1000.1 amp few days ago, it worked fine. Then i upgraded from an 8 to 4 gauge amp kit, hooked it up and it worked fine. The next day it stopped working. THen when i went to turn on my car, it wouldnt start. it turns out when i was installing my amp, i left my cd player on too long and it drained my battery. So i thought that was my problem ,but i jumped my car, and it has been running fine the last 2 days, but my amp still has no pwr, no amp lights or enthing. THen i thought it was my amp, so i hooked up my old amp to my new wires, this amp worked perfectly before i removed it, and that didnt turn on either. so i figured it had to be my new wires, so one by one i hooked up all my old wires to find out which one it was, but i went all the way through, and none of the wires made it turn on, so basically i have my old system in there which was perfectly fine, but now that doesnt work either. i checked all the fuses in both my amps, and they are fine too. it has to be something with my car right? could this be a result of my battery dying a few days ago? Anyone be able to tell me anything about what this could be id appriciate it. Thanks

possibly the fuse on the 4 gauge by the battery,

Check at the rear with a dmm to see if you have 12 volt on the power wire.

If you have 12 volt power at the rear on your main line,a dn the ground is good then the remote wire must be screwed up and not sending 12 volt to turn the amp itself on.

Your amp is toast, Just give it to me. I'll pay shipping to help you out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Like has been suggested, Check your wiring with a meter and make sure you are even getting power back to it. Check your remote wire and make sure that something didn't happen with the HU causing it not to send power through the remote turn on wire. Sounds like a power issue. For two amps all of a sudden just not work sounds a bit fishy. Possible, but would check it out good again before I panicked.
