Ready to build box,need ur opinions and help

Alright I am ready to build my box, okay heres a few questions,I wanted to use 8 4" areoports but they wont be long enough so I have to go with 6 4"areoports..should be enough right? Or would it worth the money to even bother with them and just do a slot port?I am doin competitions or anything but would the be a noticable difference between areoports and slot port? And the last question do u just add the displacement of the wood for the wall of the port like say the port is like ( off my head)14tx15dx.75" for the dis place ment would be .09 cuft?

My set up is 4 12" L5s on an Orion 2500d

Well an advantage a slot port provides is it adds strength and rigidity to the box. That is of course you put the slot port in the center with 2 L5's on each side. It takes a little more math, but if your taking the time to build a box. You mind as well take the time to figure the math.
