To being; I searched, get off my back. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Now, is the SE12 known to be a good SQ sub? I would be running it in a sealed box, probably 1-1.25 cf. Also, would 500wrms be enough power? If that's not enough, how much should I send it? This would be going into my daily driver. I am more so an SQ guy than SPL guy, however, I like to have some bump. And I listen to ALL kinds of music.

Once football season is over(5 weeks) I will be able to work up some money to buy a system. Here's what I'm thinking mostly for my system, and I want to do it right. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Deck: Pioneer 6800mp (already have, was given to me as a b-day present)

Front stage: Rainbows, not sure what model however. Will be of the 6.5" component sort.

Rear fill: Cheapy 6x9's if desired, need to see how it sounds without the rear fill.

Sub: RE Audio SE12, 1-1.25 cf sealed.

Speaker amp: Either an Arc Audio amp, or the JL 300/2

Sub amp: Again, either an Arc Audio, or a JL 500/1

And of corse everything will be getting the full sound deadening treatment.Let me know whay you guys think. I'm definately open to some ideas and criticism. Thanks guys.

i've heard the SE has good sq, and the rl-p has better sq //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

in 1-1.25cubes sealed u can actually throw 1200 watts to 1 se12 and it will take it and let u know how much it loves it

the sq on the sub is good..i like it...i heard better ..but for the price i think its comparable to jl 12w6v2

I thought the SE had pretty good SQ(comparing it to hearing kickers, my Ti) I at first had mine in a 1^3 box with about 800 watts to it. It loved it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif . Then I built a 2^3 box tuned at 33hz and that's where I thought the sub really showed it's true colors. I didn't care for it sealed honestly, but then again I haven't heard to many subs that I like in sealed enclosures.

I think if you can find an SE for under 150 you will be happy with it. For the price I don't think it can be beat really.

the sub i have now r my first se12's and i slapped them in a 4th order bandpass and comparing my box to a se12 in a ported box tuned to 26hz

i owned it as far as output....the lows was about the same..in terms of hearing it

the only thing mines had over the ported box was my bass was tighter
