I bought a set of RE comps 2 weeks ago from zachzchw. Great seller by the way, I had them 2 days later. Im sure a lot of you know what my car is, but heres a pic of it anyway.

1988 Ford Taurus LX Wagon

I have had a set of Pioneer 6.5" Coaxials and a set of 4" JDL coaxials as my front stage up until now: If anyone is interested in these, give me a PM as I have no use for them anymore

Anyway, on to the install. i took about 10 pictures of the process of the installation, but being the dumbass I am I accidentally deleted all of them, so now all we have are pics of the final product. It took me about 3 hours per door, because I had to completely modify the speaker plates and I had to cut a hole in my door for my tweeters. but it was worth it.

Left Door

Right Door (you can lightly see the midrange in the grille)

Comp amp with crossovers (temporary setup) sorry for the dark pic

Close-up of tweeter. I ran a empty speaker wire jacket behind the tweeter because it was a little too deep, and it gives it that nice, factory look.

All the random audio **** I have in my room... Yes I use a speaker box as a shelf

Review: I am quite impressed by this component set, it easily outperforms all 4 coaxials I had earlier. Midbass is noticeabally better but I still have yet to deaden the doors. The tweeters are extremely lively and musical, and can get quite harsh at high volumes, but at the level I listen to is not a problem. Now I have to turn the bass up to keep up with this set.

I am feeding them 100 wRMS x2, and they are taking it quite well and get very loud doing so. They sound like they can easily take more and there is minimal distortion even at high volumes. The car sounds like a movie theatre during effects where a plane flies from left to right, or a gunfight. Imaging is also much, much better.

For the $115 I spent, I am very impressed with these comps.

no... but my current box is tuned to 45 I can sell you that one. sounds pretty nice with my 2000SPl's... just a little lacking in the lows.

45 is a bit high for a daily driver isnt it?...its for 2 '05 type r's so i dont really want them to sound like sh*t. how much do you want shipped? im in NY so its probably going to be pricey but throw me a price.

Be sure to see the sub specs. It should tell you the ideal sealed enclosure size.
