port shouldnt be 19 in long... lol.
whats up marco.

didnt i tell you in the build thread i put up?

when i got the mdf to build the box.. i had a few parts of it cut at the home depot so that i could avoid some cutting at home.

i had the top and bottom bases cut there.

the *** there did a shitty as ****ing job.. when i got home i noticed one board was 19.5 and the other was 19 in deep.

wtf.

well with the wood i had left i couldnt afford to redo it all nor would it be enough, so i figured id have to make the box 19 deep instead of the original 19.5 ,and i had to exclude the bracing to compensate for the lost depth.

i KNEW that was going to **** me over big time. BUT since thats all i had to work with that night, i figured i might as well keep going. the box still sounds twenty million times better than my last though =) lol

i actually hadnt noticed the prob till last night when i cranked the gain a little more and i noticed at high outputs i wasnt getting sq. thats when i figured it was either the box i made or the sub. and i was talkin to mob and he said the mx's are shitty in sound anyways, so thats when i started blaming it on the sub. LOL.

and i still need a bp box, and mob couldnt do it with the mx cus its too big so he suggested smaller, which is why im considering a diff sub now.

ah, yeah im really in need of getting a table saw, home depot/lowes both have messed up my cuts. so im just not gonna make anymore boxes locally till i save up for a table saw. its best to cut your own pieces.

yeah i shouldve figured.. i have a bunch of saws and table saws and equipment to cut (dad does construction) but i figured id cut it to make it fit in the truck easier and to avoid a couple cuts. it was a **** straight line, i didnt they they could mess up something that easy..

will be extremely careful from now on. two messed up boxes is enough

the shop is called "audio connections" the owner is Greg. if no one else can make your sub sound good, this guy can.
but im out of work and have tons of time to help too =)
audio connections here in salinas?

really? i've never heard of them.. surprisingly.

ive only heard of a few other shops, but i hear their too ghetto and not reliable.

looks like i might have to hit them up sometime. would be nice to have a nice audio shop here.

haha thanks for offering help. appreciate it =D
