Give me an honest answere on what u think about it let me know on what i could improve on. I have a 91 single cab GMC 1500 c/k

System:

Head Unit: JVC 9700

Amp: BX1500D (get it in 2 days)

Subs: Phoenix Gold TI10D dual 2 ohm wired to 1 ohm

mids/highs: pioneer 4x6's X 4

Enclosure: sealed two seperate chambers approx. .98 cuft each

oops left something out

2gauge wire all around grounded directly to the battery

1000cca battery

but only 80 amp alternator

Nice lil' system.....

You should make the effort to put in some 4"-5.25" components up front for more solid imaging

And dont advertise CCA's(cold cranking amps) as if it does anything but start a car.....

Good luck!

thank you for the input but if it isnt the CCA that gives ur amplifier the juice it needs then what does. just wondering thanks again for the advice keep telling me what i coudl improve on. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif

CCA's are just for starting-

.....basically an Optima (900cca) and a ACDelco (600cca) do the same thing once the car is running- some larger vehicles just require a larger CCA battery to start- but you average car can start w/ 450-540 ccas

The ability of a battery to cycle energy(voltage) generated by the alternator is more key-

If you're looking for a new battery for your amp, a good thing to look at is the reserve capacity on it. CCA just determines how many amps it'll put out in cold conditions.

So basically its your alt that makes ur elec strong not the battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

.....a Yellow Top is a deep Cycle- that can take heavy drain repetedly and recharge specially with the car off- but your average battery can perform as well when the car is running as long as the power wire and big 3 are big enough for the application

If AC Delco had a deep cycle it would perform just as well regarless of CCA's

A vehicle with a High output alternator benefits most from an Optima because the Optimas has a lower internal resistance than an average conventional battery and thus accept higher voltage more efficiently

but a deep cycle batter is for long low amp draws like powering a trolling motor lol redneck fisherman i know anyways so really deep cycle doesnt do anything special for big current draws. but the yellow top is between a red top(starting battery) and a blue top(strictly deep cycle) so im assuming it has the best of both worlds
