for what u have its not bad. just cuz all of us now are beyond our first systems we cant say shit about this guys system being not so hot(no offence). but for what it is i would be happy with it. the R's are great subs. what coil config are they dual 2 or 4. there are sum kicker momo amps thats pretty cheap on eghey that would be better than that legacy.

I dont care about brands, Im confused about the whole speakers here, speakers there, tweeters everywhere thing you have going on.

Get the basics of your system down first, very much including speaker placement. You'll find that will make alot more difference than what brand you chose.

Well if its your first system and you like it then its a start. people have said that the phoenix Gold RSD components are very good and run under $100. After that consider getting a better amp, then get a better head unit. When I was your age I know that money was tight so just save up, go piece by piece and upgrade over time to get to where you want to be
